🗳️ The Council held its Annual Meeting, with Cllr Paul Watson re-elected as Chair and Cllr Helen Cooksey elected as Vice-Chair for the year ahead. Councillors also confirmed committee memberships and appointments to help deliver the Council’s work across the parish.

👮 We were pleased to welcome our local PCSOs, who shared updates on their recent work across Great Sankey. This included tackling speeding, anti-social behaviour and drink/drug driving, as well as discussing local concerns raised by councillors such as parking, school traffic and neighbourhood patrols.

🌼 Preparations continued for Sankey Summer Fun Day, with councillors receiving an update on planning and a call for volunteers to help make this year’s event another success.

🌿 The Council also approved the recruitment of a Horticulture Apprentice, helping to invest in local skills while supporting the maintenance and development of our parks and green spaces.
