What is Great Sankey Summer Fun Day?

Great Sankey Parish Council is proud to provide a free event that is open to all residents. The event offers a safe and fun environment where members of the community can come together and enjoy a wide range of activities. Fairground rides will be available for just £1 per ride, with all proceeds being donated to this year’s nominated charities: JUMP, PAPYRUS, and Peace in Mind.

It is all about everybody coming together and enjoying an afternoon of entertainment, education and most of all fun.

Delivery

The event’s programme is varied and it brings together the community by showcasing local talent and providing a platform for local groups and businesses to promote themselves.

Community stalls – free stands for voluntary groups and organisations providing services to local residents i.e. Bingo group, Sankey Seniors, Healthwatch and sports clubs.

Performance Area – provides a focal point for the event and showcases local talent in the form of local dance groups, community bands, school choirs and others.

Children’s entertainment – £1 per ride – Helter Skelter, Fun House, Carousels, Trampolines, Bumper Cars, Bungee Trampolines, Twister Ride and  FREE face painting.

Market stalls – stalls for local businesses to showcase their products and services.

Fun Dog Show – We’re not forgetting our furry friends! Enter your dog into our light-hearted dog show for just £1, with all proceeds going to Guide Dogs.

Volunteer to Marshall 

We’re looking for volunteers to be part of Great Sankey Summer Fun Day.

Marshalls will help with a number of tasks, including set-up, litter picking and assisting fun day goers throughout the day.
