Refurbishment Update – Tim Parry Community Centre

Great Sankey Parish Council have been working on the major refurbishment of Tim Parry Community Centre.

Work on the £300k improvements began at the end of July with the scheme originally due to be completed by the end of October 2017. Unfortunately, the project has suffered a major set-back and the work has since been delayed. The main hall is near completion and plans are now underway to complete the annexe room by Christmas. Work on building the new front main entrance will commence in the New Year.

Karen Carter Parish Clerk said, “We realise that this has been a difficult time for our customers and we appreciate their patience and co-operation during the improvements to the Centre”

Once the work has been completed the Centre will have a new main front entrance, which will create a separate access to the main hall and annexe room. The modernised facilities will include new toilets, kitchens, increased storage space, lighting, air conditioning, heating, windows, roller shutters and re-decoration.
