The meeting took place at Chapelford Primary School’s meeting room on 11th October 2017
Cllrs P Watson and Knowles reported that they had attended a meeting about anti-social behaviour(ASB) with the Neighbourhood Board. These meetings have been run by the Neighbourhood Board in conjunction with representatives from the Resident’s Association, Police and Councillors to tackle the problems experienced in Warrington West with ASB. Positive progress is being made; the Police have altered strategies and have made arrests, and the boxing club at Chapelford Primary is still running successfully. The group is continuing to look at other options to prevent ASB, possibly targeted towards younger youths who can be more amenable to suggestions for activities. Some of these youths attended the meeting and have been invited back for the following meeting to join the discussion.
At the meeting it was agreed that the Community Project Group should be tasked with discussing possible improvements to Tim Parry Recreation Ground.
The Parish Council also agreed to purchase new water heaters, tables, chairs and sound system to complete the refurbishment scheme at Tim Parry Community Centre.
